Default New Tyres for the XC70

Hi all, For Info:

Just fitted a set of Bridgestone All Seasons Weather Control A005 to the XC70 to replace the Pirelli Scorpions. Much improved ride, handling and stability, no tendency to wander offline which the old ones had, necessitating constant "steering", and seem excellent in the wet. Recommended.

New tyres will almost certainly provide better handling, ride and stability if they are a good make....so how old and worn were your Pirelli Scorpions ?

The Pirellis were never brilliant, I fitted them just after buying the car as they were the same as those already on, but directional stability was never good. A tendency to wander that has completely disappeared.

I fitted a set of Continental Cross Contact to mine, replacing Uniroyal Rainsport. A vast improvement, good handling and braking.
