Default Creaking noise ,!sounds worse.

Annoying creaking noise when turning.Its really noisy ,i can hear it in the car with the windows shut.Ive just replaced the top mounts to no avail .The wishbones were replace around 2700 miles ago.A mechanic said it could be dry joints!! How can i stop this noise????

What about CV-joints? Mine were creaking loudly when turning. Replaced them with SKF ones.

Have you tried greasing the steering stops? They can produce horrendous creaking sounds when you turn if they are dry.

Do you mean the rubber stops on the wishbones? I now the sound comes before these rub against the wheel arch liner.So i can rule those out .

the nylon fixed type are particularly noisy if they are dry.

Thanks for that.Did you do the job yourself? Is it normally the outer which is the problem?Did you just regrease the inner joint? How easy is it to remove the outer joint?
