Default New alarm battery

Hi team,

Just about to replace my alarm battery. I checked the cells that I ordered and they have not come pre charged. Does one think these should be charged before I install into the alarm unit?

The process of getting to and opening up the alarm will not be an issue thanks to all of the threads on here

I don't know specifically for an alarm battery, but in general I'd charge them before putting them in. I don't think it's necessary to fully charge them, but at least 50% to 60% I'd do.

It's just that you don't know how the battery will be charged (or not) on putting it in. On the other hand, there is def. no harm in having them charged a bit.

No need but it's important to get a quality battery brand, not cheap chinese ones. Original was Varta
