See attached for the final UK pricelist for the XC70.
For the final year the main difference was the 220bhp D5 engine which is finally EU6 compliant.
18" Leda diamond cut wheels replaced the Zephyrus option.
BLIS was no longer available due to supply problems.

At least here in Sweden, early 2016 had BLIS. I know, since we have one of them.

As a side note, the general equipment level seems to have been higher here than in the UK.

Early 2016 models were built in mid 2015 so likely they still had the BLIS modules in the the production plan.
The 70/80 models were the last ones in the Volvo range to still use the door mirror camera based system as the 60 models had all switched to the rear bumper radar system in 2014.

Yes we only got SE and SE Lux specs for the XC70 - equivalent to Momentum & Summum with lots of (expensive) options in the pricelist.
The cars on the Continent got more versions including Inscription and Sport Editions and came with more options fitted as standard.

The 2016 models in Sweden got the Classic moniker added to the model name. In the Volvo world here, it means that it's the last year, and to sell that old car they add more equipment without raising the cost.

The 2016 we have is an XC70 D4 AWD automatic Classic Summum.
Summum implies things like leather upholstery, keyless drive and electrically operated driver's seat.
Classic then adds High performance multimedia 7" infotainment, TFT dashboard and rear park assist.
Classis also adds driver's support, with BLIS (!), automatic high beam, road sign reading, adaptive cruise control and various anti collision things.
Finally, Classic also means electrically heated rear seat and windshield washer jets, as well as a timer setting for the standard issue engine/passenger compartment auxiliary heater.

Add to this that the car has Volvo on Call, silver paint, towbar, full navigation, front park sensors and rear camera, it's pretty well equipped for something bought used. The only thing I'm really missing is Nivomat.

Also of note is that the 2016 range was all diesel. No T6.

Which makes me realise that my early-2015MY (2014 plate) T6 may have been one of the last. I always said I'd try to buy as late as possible a T6 as I could find, and assumed there'd be a 2016 one somewhere. Now I guess I know better, so thanks for making that brochure available.

2015 was the last model year for the T6 and indeed a rare beast here.
I think I recall seeing one for sale with a Volvo dealer last year.

Fortunately, having missed 2 or 3 other T6 XC70s in the past 18 months or so (see online ad, ring up, 'it was sold the same day the listing went up'), I lucked on to the current one during one of my desultory Sunday night futile searches. Not a Volvo dealer, and I do not think he really knew what he had. It was a fair price but I dare say he could have asked for a tad more. I'll be hanging on to this one until it dies, I think. Or until I do! ;-)
