Default 2010 R Design auto juddering at low speed

I’ve searched the forum and I can find similar topics but nothing matching. I’ve spent 2.5k over the last few months on the car. And 177.5k I have now encountered a new problem. After a 40minute motorway run I hit congestion. In first gear only the geartronic was shuddering quite badly as if it was going to stall. Fortunately the jam cleared and I had no problem at speed. Just moved the car a few days later same problem. Simple question with no warning lights shown is my gearbox on the way out? I’ve been offered 2k for it. It is in top nick it be shame to give up now. Thanks.

Shuddering at around 1800 rpm is a sign of the gearbox torque converter slipping. Basically low rpm high torque will cause slippage when the torque converter is worn.

You have absolutely nothing to loose by changing the gearbox fluid first.
