Engine swap compatibility

Hi all,
So, I have a very big problem...
I think my engine has come to a timely end.
Huge oil consumption, dpf is constantly in a regen loop, was thinking about swapping out the turbos and dpf, then decided I might as well just put another engine in.
My question is, my car has a D5244T11 and I've found a D5244T15 online would this be a straight swap?
I understand the T15 has an extra 20nm torque, is this just software or different hardware?
Will the later engine talk to my ecu?

Anybody have any idea if the T15 will swap with a T11
Getting desperate now and getting conflicting info from mechanics.

May I suggest asking Horton Cars? They're Volvo specialists in Oakley near Thame and they might know.
