Default 740 turbo on Gumtree

I’ve posted about wanting one of these but too far away and work for me. The car needs to go to a good home to be restored not to be turned into a drift mobile and ruined. Just go on gumtree and it’s there under a cover. I’ve seen photos and hardly any rust and none underneath and this needs to go to a true enthusiast. The car is up for £475 which is a good price for one of these.
Thanks

Gumtree is a national website. It probably took 2 minutes to type your post but it only takes 30 seconds to post a link....

It's done 200k, interior looks like ass. Never seen puke coloured seats before.

Haha! Not the nicest colour combo, blue and hearing aid beige (or puke!) lol. Can't say i've seen a beige 700 turbo interior before! Still, a very rare car and well worth the asking price

I've been to see it tonight as it was only an hour down the road from me.

Has been sat for around 8 years so need the main things like discs, pads, calipers, bushes ect

The interior is very "used" and would require either replacing completely with a different colour or if one came up in the same colour then it swapping.

Hopefully I can get it picked up the weekend

I think that’s why I didn’t go for it, if it had a MOT I would’ve probably purchased, but with 175 miles away. The car from what I saw and heard needed a new alternator or water pump with a new passenger door and wing along with a full repaint with scabs in the wheel arches. Then like you said all new bushes and rubbers underneath and new tyres, and could do with a new interior.

I hope you get the car as it’s a good project if you have the space, but what are your plans with the car?
Thanks

Its not the end of the world it not having any mot, The body work isnt a big issue for me either as I can get it done, I just hope there isn't anything lurking under it, but if there is I've got a load of spares from other 700/900 series volvos.

I plan to get it all stage 0 or at least engine and the brakes and then try and see how see gets on when put through an mot, then daily drive it whilst my 940 SE gets some tlc.

Well I was very interested in this car and with a MOT I would buy it, so if you ever think about selling it with a MOT I would be very interested in the car as I’d like a project but not too much and with a MOT so I can drive it away.
If would sell it could you give me a shout or send me a PM.
Thanks
