Default 1996 volvo 940 lpt estate

For no other reason than a change of circumstances (and financial constraints!) looking for a good home for 1996 Volvo 940 LPT Estate car, 124k miles approx, kind of burgundy metallic colour, manual gearbox. Not taxed, but has MOT til 12 April, so in that respect can be legally driven on the public highway.
Starts first time every time (cliché, I know, but true nonetheless) and generally “a good runner” (can’t believe how smooth the engine still is!) .
Alloy wheels – standard Volvo alloys for this model I think?
Bodywork very presentable except for one or two minor scratches and some corrosion at the lower back edge of both front wings, where the mudflaps were screwed in (small hole in one).
Interior good, with obligatory crinkly door cards; I have fitted a CR 906 radio cassette, which is the correct model, but is from an S70 and has different fixings, however, it lodges in the r/c slot in the dash pretty securely and maybe just needs the facia surround to complete things; comes with load cover, but no fixings! I think everything interior wise works – instruments, heater, heated seats etc, can’t think offhand of anything majorly untoward.
Recently had back brakes, radiator, water pump, battery.
Probably needs for next MOT (I say probably cos I’m not an expert):
• Both rear shockers leaking (got good second hand pair to go with car)
• ABS not working and warning light on dash is on
• Maybe front brakes (they really need replaced, but work better now than they did when she passed her MOT last April!)
• Pair of rear tyres (worn close to limit/age)

Other issues that come to mind:-
• In tank pump noisy – got spare one from “Mr Meringo” on here, to go with car
• V belts need replaced (wee bit noisy on start up)
• Interior panel on tailgate/rear light needs re-instated (panel etc here – took it off to secure the rear number plate from the inside, and haven’t got round to picking up new securing clips to replace those which were broken)
• Probably lots of minor things (that I can’t think of at the moment!)

I got this car from ton377 in September 2012. She has obviously been looked after in the past and I have truly enjoyed owning, maintaining and driving her, and in that time she has become part of the family – she’s a friendly and reliable big bus and has been christened “Trigger” by my five year old daughter - so it’s a difficult decision to let her go so soon, but to do otherwise is not logical in current circumstances (it’s the old Spock v Kirk conundrum).

Price wise, I know that even nice 940s go for well less than a grand these days but how does £300 sound? To be honest, the money isn’t really the thing, I will only let her go to someone who is prepared to continue to look after her and keep her on the road. Anyone wanting a car to banger into oblivion on the track, or to pull to bits and weigh in the leftovers for scrap, or for some charity hack to South America or similar, should look elsewhere.

Some random pics on facebook, I will try to load up more in the next few days:-
