ETM Issues Discuss issues regarding the problems with ETMs fitted to Volvo cars.

VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

falco New Member Last Online: Jan 15th, 2008 16:44 Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Edinburgh	Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) I have a 2001 V70 and was alarmed to learn from BBC Watchdog on 14 Feb that the ETM commonly fails without warning, causing partial or complete loss of power. Not good news if you`re overtaking on a motorway I`m thinking... a sentiment shared by a V70 driver interviewed on TV to whom it had happened. Apparently Volvo have replaced 70,000 of the little chaps in North America free of charge. US administrators are investigating and may order a recall.Does anyone know just how likely the average UK V70 driver is to experience failure? A software upgrade available free from April on is supposed to reduce the problem but not cure it. How worried should we all be?
