They fulfill slightly different needs don't they? An "adjustable" actuator only really has one setting, unless there's one that you can adjust the spring strength on...maybe there is??

I liked using an upgraded actuator (12psi) in combination with an mbc to add a few more psi on top.

Only using an mbc for big-ish pressures like 15psi could result in boost spikes.

Definitely 15psi+

The situation is probably a bit better with the 16t, but my conical 15g caused little spikes.

Ok so i have ordered a few little bits for the volvo, amoungst which is a nice Atmospheric Boost Relief Valve (Dump Valve) now i have been thinking about what some-one said about the volume of air passing through the MAF and then the DV dumping it and causing a stalling issue.

My question is, is there a reason for the MAF to be where it is??? could i move it to near the Throttle body so the DV is before the MAF meaning whatever air passes through the MAF will be going into the engine???

I took a pic of a video on youtube i saw that gave me the idea. Note where the MAF is located.

If you have engine and turbocharger in perfect condition where no oil leak into the intake, then maybe...
But have you already open the tube in airbox, which suck air from the fender and remove insulation from upper part of airbox? that makes big difference in oem "blow-off" sound

Yeah i have a Cone filter filter fitted at the moment but i have bought the DV etc and they are on the way. i have an oil catch can some where i think too which i am going to fit with the small filter and do away with the vent in to the intake and it will have a Rebuilt Hybrid 16t i think fitted in the future as i think thats going to be the best turbo for what i want.

I am going to go start a build thread for my Car soon as i am starting to get quiet the pile of parts building up for it lol.

You're opening a can of worms there!

There seems to be no clear answer as to whether the engine will run perfectly with the amm there or not, for some people it seems to work, others not so much.

However if you want to try out the DV then you WILL need to try the amm in a post turbo position.

Might as well give it a shot and let us know how it goes!
