v70 to xc70 bumper and trim swap
Hi everyone,
I have a 2005 v70, I’m curious to know if the xc70 front and rear bumper along with the wheel trim arches will fit with little hassle involved? Like a direct swap? Hope someone can help. If anyone wants to do a trim swap I’m interested! Cheers |

Do-able if you don't mind swapping the front wings as they are a different profile round the wheelarch where the trim attaches.
Take a look at the pictures on this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-VOLV...UAAOSwB-1YntvL

double post as in it's already been asked? Can you direct me to it?
Interesting, so what happens to the trim on the rear wheel arch? |

Quote:
Rear trims are fixed in place with double sided tape and rivets. I had one replaced by a bodyshop as part of insurance claim and the new one never fitted as well as the factory-fitted original. Bear in mind you'll also need the XC sill covers, mudflaps (if fitted) and if you have a towbar then there will be less clearance between it and the deeper XC rear bumper.

ahh i see
see what you mean about the trim, could be a slow process to get all the bits I need to do a full conversion. I haven't got a towbar so atleast that sone less thing to worry about! |

Another question to the gurus:
I currently have lowering springs on the v70 as they were gifted. I want to return to stock, seen some XC70 springs at a reasonable price. Would they fit? Would the car be slightly lifted?! |

I think you'd have to change the shocks too and you may have issues with driveshafts popping out the CV joints due to extra ride height. Sound like you'd just be better off buying an XC70
