My V60 has this feature, although it’s buried in the climate control menu near the pre-conditioning option. Works well, but if you lock the car it shuts off to preserve engine heat for the next journey.

SAAB a long time ago had a thermos flask tank behind the glovebox which stored hot water from the previous journey and released it for the next cold start ... so instant heat .. new volvo models from 2004 have an electric heating element in the heater to give heat within a minute , that's why the heated screen is just a marketing device for UK weather .
