Default Cheap ebay engine mounts

I'm a tight arse, both mounts are shot on my D5.

Anyone fitted the cheapy ~£92 for the pair ones from ebay??

Any issues with them?

When you say "shot" are they just leaking vacuum, or are actually wobbly?

With the D5s it's a common problem where the mounts leak. You can safely plug up the hoses that go to them, and run them without vacuum.

Can't comment on how good the cheapy mounts are, but obviously if the current ones aren't stable then they need to go.

No Volvo diesels in No. America so no experience nor did a quick look unearth any diesel part listings so I have only members' testimony on cheap garbage diesel mounts to reference. STAY AWAY.

I've read cheap mounts don't last 6 months.

Be frugal, be economical but don't be .....

I've just ordered some Corteco engine mounts, also from ebay, which after a discount of 15% that 'carpartsinmotion' were running at the time came in at about £105. Since by many accounts these are Volvo OEM, if you shop around you should be able to find some for not much more than you are considering to pay at present - and have the peace of mind that they are going to work correctly and not fail in a few months.
