Default S40 tyres

The S40 that I've recently bought has some cheapo tyres fitted - brands that I haven't even heard of So I'm wanting to replace them fairly soon...

I'm also about to sell my 850R which has a very good set of 215/45x17 all season tyres on - I'm considering fitting some new RainSport tyres to the 850R and put these all season tyres onto the S40, but the big question is... will they fit?

I've done some reading on the internet and I've seen people saying that they have this size fitted and don't have any issues, I've also read of people fitting 225 wide tyres without issue, but before I go ahead and buy new tyres for the 850R, is anyone ***here*** running 215/45x17s on a standard S40 right now? I'd like ***first hand*** confirmation if possible please. I don't want to make an expensive mistake

Thanks

I'm running 225/45/R17 Michelin CrossClimate tyres at 36PSI, highly recommend!

Thanks for that. I've ordered some 215/45x17 Pirellis now, so hopefully they'll fit ok then.

Cheers
