Auxiliary fuel-fired heater vs. Remote Start - Page 6

The aux pre-heater is brilliant and worth the money. I live out in the country and many nights in the winter are below freezing, including -11C the other night. It also operates the heated front and rear windows, mirrors and seat heaters. You can get in and immediately drive away at -11C. Why would you want the engine to be chugging away like some old Datsun trying to clear the screen?

On my car the remote start of the parking heater is a function provided by the retrofitted non-Volvo CanBusExtender, sold by volvotech.eu
