Default V60 Cross Country 12v Aux Supply

Hello all,

I’ve just fitted an 12v socket in the boot of my motor. I’ve installed the socket kit as per the instructions apart from gutting the boot panels (you can do it without removing the inner panels). Everything’s plugged in but no power to the socket. I’ve checked the kit for continuity in case it faulty but that’s ok, I’ve checked the fuse in the boot but there doesn’t seem to be power to the fuse. So is there another fuse in the car apart from the one in the boot? Also, I noticed bits of masking tape attached to the wiring in the boot, is the normal from the factory? There no record of the car being accident damaged.

I’m scratching my head with this one, cheers.

Hi
Not sure if it's the same layout as my xc60 but I also have a fuse in the fuse box in passenger footwell
Maybe worth a look

Is it a 10a mini blade fuse?

There’s a 15a fuse that’s listed in the owners manual as the one for the Aux. It’s located in the boot fuse box but there no power to the fuse which makes me think there’s a fuse in one of the other fuse boxes. There’s no other facility for an extra fuse in the boot fuse box as far as I can tell.
