Now I understand. Yes, I am aware, but also read there was some discussion as to whether some makes were more vulnerable than others.

The few media posts I've seen are all BMW. As the system can be disabled once in the car, and they are more popular car to ship out, or breakdown for spares.

It may well be that some makes are more vulnerable than others, however, the thieving scum will and do steal to order and also, whatever takes their fancy just for a bit of fun. If owners aren’t aware of what they have access to, (meaning technology to help the scum and how they go about their business) then their pride and joy is at risk. A few simple precautions by the owners are all that is needed to make things harder. Mind you, if the nastier thieves want the car they will simply knock on the door with a baseball bat behind their back and ask for the keys or smash their way into the house.
Personally, I can’t see why ‘keyless technology’ has been introduced, just another gimmick.
