DVLA History

[P1800Ray]

Wrote to DVLA asking for history of my P1800 (as I have done on my previous P1800). This time they returned my application as they no longer do this unless there is a legal need to know the details of the previous owners.

Really annoying as I now cannot enhance the history on the register :-(

Did you just write a letter or did you submit form V888 as this is still current and has a Sept 2017 revision:

It still seems to cater for information requests regarding previous owners but I may be wrong?

Cassell, that's exactly the form I used. I rang them first to make sure that I was using the correct form and to establish the fee charged for doing this. They returned the form and my cheque.

That's abysmal service, they could have advised when you called that the information you wanted couldn't be given, rather than waiting for you to apply and write a cheque.

Such a shame as it was previously a very good service, I've used it a couple of times in the past by sending a V888 and a £5 postal order.
