Default Spare wheel or space saver

I've got a V40 that's on 225 45 r17s. I've looked through a number of websites but can only get a 16" space saver. What's the trick? How do it get a space saver thats compatible? Thanks

Space savers are not necessarily the same size as the road wheels, even to the extent that the overall diameter of the spacesaver with tyre is often smaller than the road wheel and tyre. They are after all only meant for you to limp to the nearest tyre shop.

Theye are usually inflated to 60 psi to refflect that fact in order to give adequate load rating and are also subject to a 56 mph limit..

You will need a commercial tyre guage to measure 60 psi as most car ones only go to 50 and I would not rely on the pressure guage on a portable plug into the car compressor as I find they very hit and miss regarding accuracy

Last time i looked pressure gauges for 50psi+ for a car/van/truck were a lot more expensive, but then recently I was looking for a small pump for my bicycle and found bicycle tyre pressure gauges which go over 100psi were not so expensive. A Schrader valve is the same on a bicycle or car and pressure is pressure, a little shopping around could save some cash.
