lower Tie Rods
I have been advised by Volvo my '' Lower tie rods are debonded''
What are lower tie rods? Are they the drop links or track rod ends. and should i worry as they said it was a def MOT failure. (im sure they said this last year and it passed) Do they need changing as a matter of urgency? |

He's talking about the anti-roll bar links - there's one behind each wheel and joins the anti-roll bar to each lower wishbone. Each end of the link comprises a 'joint' which can wear (advisory) or become detached (fail). These are cheap enough to buy and a bit of effort will see them replaced (look out for the allen key hole to hold the joint while you're trying to undo the nut). It's not urgent to fix worn ones but would consider replacing detached ones asap.
