Voc national and bkv sunday 1/7/2018

Hi Chaps,

I'm polishing up my 940 for the Volvo Owners Club National meet next Sunday. I normally go in my mint 240 but due to the sad turnout of 700 / 900s last time, im taking the daily 940. Who else can make it from the 700/ 900 section next Sunday ?
Its at Hatton Country World, Dark Lane, Hatton, Warwickshire, CV35 8XA from approx 11am till 4pm. Its the best meet of the year for Volvo lovers whether members or not. You dont have to have a show car and having your car judged is only for members and is optional.
However the 700 / 900 line up was woeful compared to the 240s and we need to put a better show on for our section. The Weather is going to be amazing, you will be looking and talking Volvos all afternoon so book it in with your Mrs now, get cleaning your 700 /900 and get down next Sunday.
Who"s coming ?

I will be at the classic car show at Bywell Northumberland next Sunday 1/7/18with my 1987 740GL, its the biggest gathering of classic cars in North East England with over 1000 cars on display.....happy polishing Saturday I think !

Work permitting I might get along, in which case the Exxon Valdez will get some exercise and I will pick some people's brains about its general demeanour.

Im going to try my best to get to this, as long as its stays dry. My 940 hasn't turned a wheel in anger since the 18th of May

so it would be nice to get back behind the wheel.

hi all
there are still a lot of 700/900s out there so lets have a good turnout without all you guys this 700/900 forum wound not exist so the weathers looking good for sunday at moment so make the effort you will be back next year im sure !

Went in my export-maroon 740 estate last year and it was ignored in the non-displaying car-park....... still, it was a bit grubby.
Regret can't this year due recent eye operation (before you ask, not cataracts) preventing me seeing properly enough for a long drive yet. As has been said please can we have lots of pictures.

I'm getting encouraging signs that we are are going to have a decent 700/900 series turnout this weekend. Keep in mind that the 200 series turnout has been very popular at this event for a while now. There will be one less this year as I'm debuting my 945 at the show instead. Please help out with your best efforts to bring your own 700/ 900 and lets start to build our own community with these classic last of the RWD Volvos.
