VIDA fault code help? BCM-U040100
Evening!
Looking for a bit of guidance before my wallet gets emptied unnecessarily 😫 I have a 2011 D3 C30 and, I’ve been getting the dreaded Anti-Skid Service Required message every now and again. I’ve had the car for over 2 years, and it was only last February I started getting the message. When it throws it, the car will slowly lose revs (say i’m going 60mph), until it will cut out. 9/10 a flick of the switch in terms of restarting the car, it’ll be cleared and it’ll be fine. Interestingly, it would normally only happen after it had been raining… 🤷🏻*♂️ I had a wheel bearing replaced back in Feb and it had been alright, no codes or no issues… but we had a fairly dry last 7 or so months. It’s been occurring more frequently recently, even when it’s not damp or raining etc. although some and even most days it’s problem free!? I’ve checked the common leaking windscreen onto the CEM and cleaned all contacts with contact cleaner but it’s happened since. I’ve now read the car on Vida and have the code “BCM-U040100 Invalid Data Received from ECM/PCM A” - which appears ABS module related… I’ve got it booked into a Volvo specialist in a couple of weeks to try and trace the fault, but wondered if any of you geniuses on here can shed any light, or have any advice? Thank you! 👍🏼 |
