Default Headrest problem

Had a v70 for 6 years 240000 miles. Best car ever. Front seat heater burnt a hole in fabric so I decide to put some seat covers on ! Can't get headrest off. Been on u tube and found the 4 clips that you press, which I have... but still no movement. I've broke a brush handle trying to prise the headrest off. There must be something I'm missing? Can anyone help ?.

Default Seat headrest removal

Are you sure you have this right?

On the videos I have just looked at there is only two buttons / clips that have to be pressed, not four.

They are located in the back of the backrest with each one being in line with the headrest pillars. You may need to keep them pressed while you lift / lever the rest upwards in the centre.

The first time you do it there are sprue like bits that you have to snap, it if you don't end up with two broken thumbs you aren't pressing hard enough.
