I found the cable under the boot panel and also found the module floating about. So I followed the parking sensor install instructions and removed the side panel so that I can refit the module into its cradle. The front parking sensor cable had plenty of spare and so I cut the cable and wired in a mate-n-lock connector and wired the male/female sections to reverse the sensor cables as per the install instructions showing the difference between LHD and RHD wiring. Hey presto all now shows up correctly :-) Thank you Clan for confirmation of the issue and guidance as to how to resolve.

you are welcome , but i would go back to the garage and tell them how you fixed it and that you want a refund of the fees you paid them. Especialy if they were the people that fitted the system !
