Default ECU Re-Map for 80 Mph Economy

Just a thought, I wonder if owners of new XC90's (200bhp or Polestar upgrades) can tell me what their RPMs are at 80 mph? (Hypothetically of course, not advocating anyone should break the law!)

I think if I were to do 80 mph mine would rev a little high at 2500 rpm. I would imagine wanting an extra "overdrive" gear to drop the revs and save fuel.

But seeing as our motorway speed limits could be raised to 80 mph, this higher speed would reduce my average mpg.

I could stay at 70mph but I'm wondering if a Polestar re-map would effect the gearing.

a remap won't effect the gearing. it just effects the amount of fuel/air injected and at what time. so as long as you have the same engine/gearbox/rolling radius in both cars, both should perform at the same rpm at the same speed.
