I have an S60 Inscription Plus with nappa ventilated leather but no massage function and find the seats very comfotable. I am about 1.75 tall and 90kg.

See this link for a professional (ergonomic) guide to best position for driving. Hope it helps.

i remember some time ago reading a thread where someone complained about R-Design seats and how uncomfortable they were, because of their design and i even remember someone saying that people would sat on them and not in them.
Inscription seats were better and way more comfortable.

Now i read here people saying inscription seats are uncomfortable. So... what's going to be?
I wouldn't be wrong to assume that most of us here on the forum are volvo repeat buyers. And the fact is that current volvo seats ARE firmer and not as plush as the volvo seats of the past. Having said that (and having owned several volvos before my current one..), yes, both inscription and RD seats are firmer than the seats in my older volvos (one of them beaing an RD..) but I love my current RD seats and wouldn’t change anything about them. Most of the tests I’ve seen praise the SPA volvo seats as the best in the business- so I guess I’m not the only one to like them.

My job here is done . Two quick observations: it really helps to have someone else with you when you try to set up the seat, to see how you're sitting. Particularly if you're uncomfortable. And small adjustments can make a huge difference in reducing static postural load - small muscle groups being asked to work hard to keep you in position.

Also the Guide refers to head rests: very few cars these days have them - Volvo especially. They're head restraints, and you shouldn't have your head in contact with them in a normal driving position.
