i ALWAYS like to look for the OEM part if poss but as you say only LHD examples available. I think what happened is that the original matrix went and was replaced with one from a breaker! It was a bit bent as if it had been dropped or similar...

Default Nissens

Generally nothing wrong with Nissens, but unlike the OEM ones, their heater matrices are made of aluminium instead of copper. From experience, I estimate a Nissens matrix supplies about 30-40% less heat. That is why I suggested having the OEM one refurbished.

Yes, it has aircon...i have found the leak and thankfully it is the water pump and not the heater matrix!

I managed to get one for my, then '93 960 from in Redditch. Going back four years but might be worth a try. "Foursome Vehicle Heaters" Tel:01527 64126 Part number 20528 Hole centres 130mm (Deep breath) £98 delivered
