  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Not quite. Dealers pre-order a car with a particular spec but it can be modified at any time up to ~6 weeks before actual production.

Yes..that’s exactly how I managed to get mine within eight weeks from ordering Changed the colour and added whichever options I wanted

Default Update on my new XC60

Good morning, just thought I would share with you all that I took delivery of my New XC60 yesterday.
I think it will take some time to get used to the iPad controls but as an ex Mercedes driver, I am very pleased so far with the decision to change brands!

Got a call from the supplying dealer today. As it turns out, there are one or two areas in which the spec of the car being built differs from the spec I ordered, and it's too late to amend the build now. (Yes, I did try and get in touch with them to confirm the spec, but by the time I was able to make contact it was too late).

The most irritating of the mix-ups is that the car won't be coming with a heated windscreen as I'd specified (I've found them genuinely useful, not least because I don't have a garage) and will have a head up display instead (a feature I have encountered, but never liked - they're distracting).

I don't feel bothered enough to cancel the order, though, so I'll have to find a way of disabling the head up display. Hopefully it'll be as simple as pulling a fuse or blanking off the 'projector' with a bit of cardboard or fabric - but will have to wait and see on that count.

You can turn the HUD off from the center display at the flick of the touch-screen control button, it is that simple!!

Default MY19 delivery slipped 4 months!

I ordered on 11 April and had an estimated delivery date on 1 June in writing on the order form, which the dealer hoped to improve on by using one of their existing slots. After 2 weeks of chasing them to find whether they could do this I was told ex-works delivery is now mid-Sept with a probable registration date of 1 Oct.
When I asked for an explanation I was told there isn't one. Not impressed, still wondering on what to do....

Which dealer did you place the order with, if you don’t mind me asking. My order was placed at about the same time as you and they gave me a date of 28 June for estimated delivery.

I got my existing XC60 from them but went to Watford this time.

I have tried several times to get them to confirm the order was on the factory system but they have been either unable or reluctant to do so.
