Hi everyone, I'm after anyone's past experience of the 1. 6D2 engine in our V50.
I feel ours is not only sluggish, (i know it's only 1.6), on the uptake but also quite raucus under load / acceleration, and was wondering how the camshafts fare in these things as the rest of the engine seems to be made of chocolate. I was wondering how they wear, along with valve springs / rockers.
My intention moving forwards to repair or fit new injectors, as I know 2 are duff, but once running smoothly blank
egr, remove DPF and have a mild remap to give it a little poke and acceleration, ( I'm not expecting a race car, just better than it is at present).
Any practical / real life experiences welcome. 😊
