Congratulations to the organisers of the whole day and especially to Andy Rowlands for achieving the biggest gathering of Amazons in one place since the last boatload arrived at Harwich Docks in 1970!

About forty of us met at Warwick Services and created the biggest Amazon traffic jam on the M40 as we convoyed into Gaydon. The welcome as we drove into the show area was something we will all remember for a long time.

Andy's target of 50 Amazons to celebrate their 50th birthday was exceeded comfortably.

A great day.

Thumbs up Volvo Marque Day

A great day out again, well done to all who organised it. A wonderful display of all models. Enjoyed the line up of Amazons, the museum and the trip round the circuit in the S80 V8 and the children's goody bags from Volvo UK Ltd. Even the weather was good, probably did'nt rain because Clare, Andy & co were selling VOC waterproof jackets and umbrellas ! Only disappointing bit for me was the lack of VOC badges on cars, even those in the Amazon convoy, but pleased to see new members joining on the day.

Again well done to all the organisers, made washing & polishing the PV worth it and here's looking forward to the event at Wakefield National Coal Mining Museum on the 30th September.

Regards, Richard VOC 3801.

Best event this year!

Thank you to all envolved and all who turned up. A great collection of cars to look at. And the museum was fantastic. Is their an official count on how many Volvos turned up?

I'll post some pictures in the other thread in a mo.

Thanks again!
