Default Passenger door not unlocking fully

My passenger door doesn't seem to unlock 🤔 The door tab doesn't seem to pop all the way up ? Is this common and how can I fix it ?
2010 XC70
On a side note the search function on here doesn't seem to like my phone ?

Hello there, very common issue with Volvo locks . There is a small electric motor inside the lock assembly and it is common for grease to get into the motor & in effect insulate the brushes , stopping them working correctly . Two solutions 1 remove & clean the motor using brake cleaner aerosol or quicker & more time efficient , buy new motors from Ebay or Amazon .

Plenty of Youtube video showing the how to and guiding your repair

Hope this helps

Having just picked my XC70 up I have the same problem but oddly the drivers door. I assume its very much like the Discovery 3 I had previously in which I replaced 3 of them. (All accept the driver door which is always used)

I thought that was probably the "case". Booked in to have it changed under the Selekt warranty and will treat it to a Polestar at the same time.
