Default Will the XC60s on order turn up before the VAT goes up!

There will probably be a VAT increase in the “offing” to help reduce the deficit will those with one on order be caught with it?

I think that you would be caught if the date of your invoice is after a new VAT rate was introduced.

Your deposit would not protect you from this & if you read your order it will allow for tax rate changes to be passed on.

A new government & a new XC60 seem both to be taking forever!

I am pretty sure its coming in fact I am more confident of the VAT going up than the car turning up!

depending on the size of any rate increase, I would be negotiating with the dealer on this - at not very much, the deposit would be less than the vat increase, *if* I was to pull out....

They are probably glad when you pullout because with being in short supply they can sell your car at an increased profit margin to someone else. The big discounts are going to be disappearing at this rate! Keep your existing orders ON regardless .

Worry not.
At this rate your XC60 will arrive well before the UK has a Government in place to actually increase VAT!!
