1996 855 t-5 cd
I've come to the tough decision that maybe my car isn't ever so practical for me.
I absolutely love it to bits, it's fantastic, best car I've ever owned without doubt, but I might have to get something cheaper to run as I seem to be doing a lot of miles lately, so I'm considering letting it go for something a bit cheaper. It's a 1996, in black, CD model, with black leather, climate control, cruise control, electric windows all round, the usual toys. It's an automatic, and only has 113k on the clock, which seems pretty low for a T-5 these days. It is lightly modified, but nothing excessive, as follows: Engine: Cone air filter, recirc. blanking plate, poly top engine mount Body: T-5R front bumper, rear spoiler, V70 rear lights Suspension: Lowered 40mm Wheels: 17" 850R Volans, two new tyres, two half worn The car has some history with it, and has tax until the end of March 2010 with the MOT running until September 2010, so plenty left in it. It's in pretty good condition with a few marks as you'd expect of a car nearly 14 years old, the interior is pretty clean with the seats in pretty decent condition. Few pictures, body mouldings have been treated since these pictures so looking much better: Will be back in Stafford from next week, looking for £1295ono

I'm interested if your open to offers.
Whats it like in the snow? I only ask as I live in the middle of the Yorkshire Moors and managed to slip and pring my automatic Primera lol. The thing is the hills here are steep and this time of year it gets pretty bad and I'd like to know how it fairs up as I feel the prang would have been avoided had the Primera been a manual. Also does it have 7 seats? If not would the conversion kit I keep seeing on ebay fit? |

It seems to have performed well in the snow. The winter mode on the gearbox is very useful, and the ABS seemed fairly responsive still. I certainly didn't push my luck, but it did seem very capable compared to a lot of cars. I don't have the additional rear seats for it, but a friend of mine said he might still have his from when he had a T-5, so I'm going to look into that, and they'll be included in the sale. It's just a tailpipe extension. Not my thing if I'm honest, but never got round to removing it yet!

Winter mode sets the car into 3rd gear, so avoids wheel spin in snpw/ice on start off

it obviously depends how you drive it, if you cruise, and stay out of turbo range, on a long run, you can get 35-38
round the doors, usually around 20-27

Hi - I notice that you are located in Norwich -is that right - it's just that I'd be really interested in having a look at the car ....I just put a note out a few days ago as I'm looking for an 850. question is..are you local to norwich ?
The car looks in good order, what the history like and how long have you owned it for ? |
