Headlights
Hi ya guys just after a bit of advise, just brought a volvo s40 2001 on a 51 reg, everything seem to be ok, but last night on way home from work, notice that the headlights seemd to be flickering any idears on what the problem is orr if you guys have had the same problem thanks

By flickering do you mean the beam pattern's moving about (so they sound loose), or is it they appear to be switching on & off (so it sounds electrical)?
If electrical it could be one of the relays in the lighting control unit (under the dash to the RHS) needs replacing. Not dear, reasonably easy to get to and do (lots of posts on here, I put one up a couple of months ago - check my username for it) If it's the beam's wabbling then as was posted, it could be the adjusters that are loose. Post some further info and I'm sure someone on here can help you.
