Hi Willow place.

You should have a small fabric loop at the back edge of the seat cushions. Chances are if you haven't used them for a while the loop has got pushed down the gap behind the seat.

Have a feel around the back edge of the seat cushion, from memory I think they are near the middle of each seat but I may be wrong on this, it's one of those things I use without thinking about!

Found the fabric loop, a lot of tugging and finally the double seat moved, then I noticed 2 pieces of red plastic lying on the floor ! tried the single seat ,can't shift it, but I can lift it up from the front a bit,any more help would be appreciated . Thanks.

The red plastic could be the remains of the clip that goes on the hinge at the front of the seat cushion. With the clip in place the seat cushion hinges up, with it removed you can take the cushion out completely so that the seat back folds completely flat.

Not sure what else you can do if the catch on your small cushion is not working other than keep pulling and hope nothing major gives! Maybe put weight on the seat cushion to release tension on the catch and give the loop a sharp tug?
