at 49 seconds the engine note changes to popping ,and the throttle on diagnostics goes from 20% to £5% + when we reset the throttle the popping noise was evident after 4-5 sces not the 49 as befor e ???

that could be the egr opening (or closing).. not the physical noise of the egr, but the hot gasses being fed into the intake.

value should have been 20% to 35% (not£5%)

Hey everyone,
I am reading this very carefully as I am having the same popping Sound.
Although, when I took of the Brake-Vacuum Hose, the noise stopped.
Did this occur on any of your Engines? I have a 2003 Euro3 163hp D5244T.

Also, i found an interesting Video about the assembly procedure of the
lifter pins and the camshafts:

As I am moving premises we are getting rid of old stock of manuals, parts and a few wrecks I have sitting around.
So first up I have 140,1800,160 and 440/460 parts manuals for sale so if interested let me know.
