C30- Help! There Is Something In My Spoiler

2011 C30 DRIVe 1.6D. Today I noticed that when I opened the hatch something inside the rear spoiler, that is attached to the glass, rolled to the back. When I closed it, rolled to the front. It sounds as if there is a conker rolling around in there. Something's come loose that shouldn't. The inbuilt high level brake light is still working fine. Thought it might be to do with the connector to that.
a) any ideas what it could be?
b) how do I remove the spoiler? I've had a quick squint (too cold to mess about out there) and it isn't obvious to me.
c) I suppose a third question is, once I get it off, how do I get it apart?

Worked out what it was. Today the noise in the spoiler of something rolling about is gone. It was a chunk of ice!!! Now the temp has risen it has melted. My spoiler tends to get water in it. So that water froze.
Quite amusing. I was baffled.
