Exhaust system for vV90/960
Hi all. I have entered a thread under 900 for sale section asking if anyone knows where I can get the catalytic converter and intermediate (mid) silencer box for my V90. I have a new end box, but I see I should also replace the rest of the system. Can anyone help please? Derek Vivian 07836352000

Exhaust parts for V90
I have locasted a seller called 'buycarspares2' from whom I have purchased the Catalytic Converter and mid silencer with pipe to end box and all fixings. I will report satisfaction in due course after localk garage has done the work. Derek Vivian

I have also used buycarspares a few times and bought a BM catalytic converter £50 and downpipe £32 for my 1996 940 LPT turbo. Arrived no probs and fitted perfectly. Recently my 1989 240GLT started blowing/rotten on the downpipe and this time due to having the parts used RSJ_Carcare who I got a complete system for my 240 for £160.00. Made by euroflow with a 3 year warranty. The downpipe needed bending more slightly and not as well bent as the BM make but fitted and cheap. Downpipe only £39.99. I was delighted the 240 exhaust downpipe nuts came off no probs, and only cost £40 for a garage to fit. The 940's snapped and needed expensive drill/studding. James |

exhaust system problems
After having bought a complete exhaust system it seems the catalytic converter which I obtained from buycarspares2 became a problem because the incorrect version was sent for my V90 despite me having told them my reg number etc. It was replaced by BM Catalysts from whom buycarspares2 obtained it. That was installed by my local garage and all seemed OK until 2 months later (and 900 miles) the lambda light came on. When the garage inspected it they found the catalytic converter had become faulty. I asked buycarspares2 to arrange replacement under BM Catalysts warranty and they did. However, they would not refund my cost of replacing it (£72). It seems from Trading Standards that I am entitled to have this 'consequential cost' refunded, but buycarspares2 will not pay me. So I have to go to small claims court which will probably cost more than my claim. Does anyone know of a better way or should I swallow it and get on with my life?!

V90 exhaust
Reluctantly I have decided to remove buycarspares2 from my favourites list and will no longer buy from them as they continue to ignore my legitimate claim for the consequential loss for paying the garage to replace the faulty Catalyst. So I'll move on. I don't think BM Catalysts are at fault as I was not their 'customer' and they were quick to arrange replacements.
