Default 2005 C70 Convertible roof not working

I decided to buy myself another Volvo to park beside my 850 t5. Ended up with a 2005 C70 convertible which I took a chance on with a faulty roof.
Took it to my sparky mate for him to look at as he is good with these things.
He's came back to me and can't get his system to communicate with the control module which was disconnected and lying in the boot.
Any help or links to wiring diagrams would be appreciated as he's put it to side just now and I'm desperate to get using it even if there is a storm up here just now

Thanks

Joe

It's going to have to be sorted by a Volvo dealer or indy.

There's so much going on with a convertible roof and it does need the 'real software' diagnosis used by a Volvo guy to find out where the problem is.

Joe, if you get the chance, pop along to see James at the Volvo yard at Slamannan. Not too far from you. I bought a C70 from him couple of months ago and he had it attended to at Taggarts before I got it. He can advise you. He is about a mile out of the village on the Airdrie side.He is a good man to know.

Thanks Dibble. I had heard of him but thought he was only breaking the cars. I work in Airdrie so I'll go along and see him when I get the car back from my mate. I managed to get the wiring diagram online for him so I'll see how it develops.

Thanks again

Got an update on my roof not opening.
Turns out it was a couple of small issues.
One was a micro switch that had been replaced and looks like it was faulty. That was replaced and allowed the roof to partly open then jam in the upright position.
After checking this my mate discovered that there was 2 small parts ( his words not mine ) blocking a sensor so all he had to do was move these and it worked.
Haven't checked it due to the weather so hopefully it's still working.
Thought I'd post an update in case anyone else has the same issues.
