C30 - Control Arm size changeover date / chassis number
Hi folks,
Apologies for what feels like a very stupid question! I have had a search and almost but not quite found an answer... I need to replace the front lower control arms on my C30. My chassis number is: 075194 Now there's two different sizes of ball joint I believe - older 18mm or newer 21mm. I'm used to seeing a 6 digit chassis number, but everyone just gives a 3 digit reference for these parts. i.e. "chassis number to 260" and "chassis number from 261". Here's the silly question - so that means "000260" right? And since 075194 is more than 000261 then I'll need the later style? Just seems weird that they changed on such a low number, but I guess the platform had been in use for a while before the C30 entered production! |

Ha! Well, I'm sorry to bump this, but just wanted to say - with a lot of extra searching I've found an answer (it was on the forum all along, of course!).
https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=267275 So it is 000260 and 000261 - I thought it must be, just wanted confirmation I wasn't having a senior moment Forum to the rescue again! |
