Oil Leak

Warning light came on tonight to fill oil....I pulled over to find a load of oil all over pipes etc to the rear right engine bay as you look at it....at the bulk head....at a guess has anybody got any rough ideas it’s a V70 D5 2007(185)

Check to see if there is oil leaking from the joint between the gearbox bellhousing & engine block - you may need to remove the under tray if fitted.
Not sure about the the Eu4 D5 engine, but the Eu3 D5 does have a know issue with the core plug on the oil gallery behind the flywheel. Can't immediately think of any other potential cause of engine oil spillage in that area?

Going to have a good look today in the nice WET weather....it seems to be spraying it upwards as well so I was wondering(more like hoping) if there was a hose in that area that could of bust or split.

There have been a few petrol non turbo cars blew a plug back there which allowed oil to slop out under acceleration , drop on driveshafts and get thrown against the bulkhead. Might be worth checking the turbo oil return line.

it looks like its the vac pump pipe...the pipe and the fitment has come away.....
