Spotted this 2006 V70 AWD R for sale at Thorton le dale. Not mine, but if I'd fancied an auto it could have been worth a look.???

Went for £5.5k - more than double the estimate.

Yikes.

Went to look at it.....
Rough.
Rust above arches.
Needed plenty of paint elsewhere.
Wheels rough.
Mirror smashed.
Minimal servicing last few years.

Mine for +12 years now. Bought cos I could not find a "nice" T5 manual, and this turned up in Reading....

yep the rust in the arches in the pictures stopped me going to view...

Values are only going to appreciate, certainly for the R models.

I still kick myself not buying a facelift S60 with a manual box which needed its suspension overhauling, Was going for peanuts at a local garage!

We live and learn!
