Default XC90 Uneven Rear Tread Wear

I've had my '55' VOR XC90 for about 7 months now, generally very pleased with it.
However, checking the tyres a few days back showed to fronts to be just off the wear bars, about 3.5mm, oretty much constant wear across the width of each tyre.
The rears though. The outer tread is on the wear bar, the inner still at about 6mm! Both sides are the same.
Is this a common problem? Or maybe the tracking has been out for a long while.
Tyres are the original set of Continentals, with 12.7k on the clock.

Default Tyre wear

Yes this type of wear is standard it is caused by the stability control putting power onto the rear wheel when you go round roundabouts etc as it is trying to keep the car upright to put it simply.
Rear tyres if you do a lot of heavy cornering will only last about 13K front will last about 17K.

Bit of a naive question - does it help if you swop your front and back tyres around every now and again to try and get "even" wear on all 4 tyres?

Default Tyre Wear

Just had the faulty rear wheel bearings replaced under warranty.

Completed about 1,600 miles since then and the rear n/s tyre is completely ruined because of uneven wear. The outer rim (shoulder blocks) is now officially classified as of Formula 1 tread pattern.

Fortunately for me, the tyres were near the end of their life anyway. But until that point the wear had been even across the whole tread area.

It's back to the dealer in a week to have the new tyres mounted (Nokian NRVi SUV) and they've promised to look at the geometry and balance.

On the basis that, until then, the wear rate has been even (and still is on the rear o/s) I'm not sure about the previous point concerning the DSTC cutting in.

OK.
I've just had 4 Pirelli Scorpian PZero's fitted, will see how it goes. Due service in July so will get geometry checked then...

Not uncommon , you need the 4 wheel alignment done , If you have had the track rod recall done the 4 wheel alignment was part of this recall .

I checked with the dealer who originally supplied the car as to whether it had had, or indeed needed, any of the recall works done. They advised it was a later model so no need.
Either way I'll get them to check it out in July, I'll only do 1k before then so no adverse effects.
