Xc60 - Optinal Extras
Hi guys.
First post on the forum. Looks like a nice and friendly place. Looking to buy a UK spec 2nd gen xc60 t5 r-design. I have specced xenium and intellisafe packs. What other optional extras would you say hold a good resale value in the future say after 3 years? E.g. Worth paying the extra for B&W stereo for example? Thanks. |

Welcome to the forum, you have already made an excellent choice. I say that adding more extras especially expensive ones should be for your enjoyment, not that of the next owner and it’s generally accepted that they add nothing to the resale value of a three year old car but may make it easier to sell. Others may disagree with me.

I would just buy it for yourself, if the 360 camera isn't included in those packs I would defiantly add it in.
Towbar is a lot more expensive as an after thought too, if you think you may need it I would add it now. If I was in a position to buy a new car I would be adding all the things I want with zero consideration to trade in or selling down the line, its my money being spent I would want it how I want it! |

Pretty sure the towbar is the same price fitted by the dealer as the factory, £1075?

I assume this is for the retractable towbar?

I’d add the tempa spare as I personally don’t trust a can of foam to get me home.

If you can afford the Pro version I would have it for the heated steering wheel, active headlights, keyless entry/handsfree tailgate and air suspension in particular.

I test drove one today. Wow I have to say, it was impressive. Power delivery was excellent, however the it felt I was driving a tank compared to my compact saloon I have been driving all this time. Was a bit disappointed with the air suspension. I thought the ride would have been a lot smoother? It was set in comfort mode. |
