Sound system

Evening!
I’m considering changing my 2013 V60 D3 R-design for a 2017/2018 V90.
I’ve been trying to compare specs on different models etc to try to figure out which spec I might go for.
My current V60 has the premium audio system (I think) - has the amp under the seat and ability to play DVD’s. Can anybody comment on how the audio quality of the standard V90 system would compare? I’m not an expert but do look for a really good sound system. In my experience Volvo always fit really good systems!

The default system is the High Performance Sound, with the option to upgrade to Premium Sound H&K system or the B&W system.

In my previous XC60 I paid extra for the Harman Kardon system and thought it was really good. My present V90 Cross Country has the standard High Performance sound and there isn't much in it I don't think. I regularly travel in my old car as my brother owns it and there's not really any discernible difference in sound quality. However from my understanding the latest H&K system is better than the old one, but I have not heard it. Bowers & Wilkins is the top dog, but again I have not heard this system, maybe a good job as I might be disillusioned. Much like yourself I like my music and I am perfectly happy with the standard sound. The only way to be really sure you get the sound you want is to have a listen to all three.

I had the premium sound option in my previous MY11.5 XC60. It was decent, but the B&W system in my current XC60 beats it by a country mile.

Have the HK in my 2020 S90, its better than the standard, mainly due to the sub and better rear speakers, but not massively.
