Default Auto Gearbox Repair

I was wondering if anyone has used, and can recommend, a company (ideally in the South East) to repair the Powershift gearbox in my 2012 V70 D2? Broadly, the g'box seems to be flaring/slipping (no banging or crunching of gears).
I have tried to research things on the internet but would like to hear first-hand suggestions of suitable firms who could help. These units are obviously fairly complex/problematic so finding someone who knows their stuff is important.

Thanks in advance

My daughters Galaxy with the same gearbox was very successfully repaired by Oakdene in Nottingham.

Not near you but you could also look at Horton Cars in Oxfordshire/ Buckinghamshire.

If you don't get too much response here, try the ford forums. Good luck with it.

I've not used them myself but you could give these a try :

Have you checked the ATF level and when was the last ATF change?

Try a google search term, just highlight the next line, then right click and search google should be in that menu, or type it into google manually

automatic gearbox repair near me

Also, have you checked to make sure there are no updates for your vehicle, I was quoted £70 from the main dealer for a check....

A trans fluid change may improve things noticeably.

Thanks to everyone for their posts.
The car has a lot of miles (180k). I've owned ot for about three years and put about under 10k on it in that time. I don't know for certain, but I have to assume that the gearbox has not been serviced previously. It hasn't been done in my ownership because my I thought it was a sealed unit.
I don't know how to check the ATF level but there is (and never has been) any signs of fluid leaking from the car (marks on the driveway, etc.)
I'm undecided on whether an ATF change will be wise in these circumstances - I appreciate they can have positive results, but I assume it's relatively expensive and I might well be throwing good money at a bigger issue (assuming all labour and fluid costs will literally be down the drain if it doesn't solve the problem).

The fluid and filter should be changed every 30000 miles so changing it may well be overdue and give good results.

There are videos on YouTube on how to do it if you feel able.

When my daughters Galaxy first failed the technician plug his computer into it and diagnosed the problem on a test drive.

I have used Gravesend transmissions. They are very helpful and knowledgeable!
