It looks like that due to a change in circumstances I need to rationalise my collection.
So for sale are my 2 red 240GLTs, Olga and Bay
Bay's history is known to the forum. Olga has been my daily runabout, has 81000 miles on the clock, is fitted with a towbar, has 3 previous owners and needs a N/S bonnet hinge and some time with a polisher.
Both cars have good interiors, proper mats, no cracked leather, volvo radios, no broken door pockets etc.
Just as when I bought them, I would like them to go to an enthusiast. I suspect that this is a fairly unique opportunity to acquire 2 red 240 GLT saloons. Maybe one for show and one for the road as was my intention

This has just sold on eBay

I would like £1500 for BOTH of mine

Please PM me if you are interested or would like more pictures or to arrange to come and have a look, the cars are in Ashbourne

I think that Olga is the more original of the 2

Stiggy hi,

Yes of course I remember, quite pleased that you should wish to have the car back. A testament to its quality.

I havent replied to your PM, was not sure what to say really. I am hoping in the first instance to try to sell them both together but may turn out that this is not what people want. But the idea of a car for best and another as 100% spares / runabout appealed to me. The insurance is cheap enough, I think I pay an extra £40 a year for the second car.

I dont suppose I could persuade you to have both, could I?

Regards

Nick

Stiggy, you are a better salesman than I. Thanks for posting the extra pics. Olga is the lower mileage more original car, with headlamp wipers etc and in your care would polish up as well as Bay

Its still early days, as I said I'd rather sell them both rather than just one.

Regards

Nick

At the moment, the price is £1500 for them both, which seems fair since the one on eBay fetched more than that on its own

I think Bay stands up very well by comprison and you know it has its full service history from new, got all the extra gauges etc. Also included is a rare original Volvo folding towbar for it, just waiting to be fitted if the new owner so wishes.

Maybe think of it as 'Buy one get one free'
