Battery seems to be beyond charging, so I temporarily swapped it for the one from my Multipla and after a bit of cranking it started! Engine sounds fine, and it idles nicely, however I'm getting a faint glow on the battery warning light so I suspect the alternator is not well.
I've given it a bit of a wash and brush up on the outside, and to help show what the paintwork is like I've waxed part of the bonnet (paint is original signal red with no clear coat, so it should polish up nicely). At the moment it is being used to store a bunch of boxes so I've not taken any photos of the interior. If I get some more time this weekend then I'll see if I can clear it out. Looks like it would be a good car for the right money after some TLC
It would make a good project. The only thing that would put me off is no MOT. Good luck with your sale, it looks far too good to scrap James. |

I'll try to get some photos of the interior tomorrow (once I've cleared out the boxes). As to a price, I'm not really sure. I've seen people fail to sell them _with_ an MOT for £500, but it is in nice condition for it's age so if I could get that for it then I'd be happy. |

Interior shots uploaded to the gallery:
https://plus.google.com/photos/11149...OHxuurA9PjXjAE Also shows: - 7 years of MOT certs (up to 2009). I bought the car in 2001, and it only failed once during that time that I can remember, and that was for tire wear. - Extra number plate (was used for a small trailer). |
