Red face weird crank no start

2003 V70 D5 163 215k miles

Yesterday after a 30 min drive coming in to park I got a random light on that passenger rear door was open. Didn't think much of it, parked up turned car off and opened then closed the door (no problem)

Came back to her about 30 mins later, key in, ignition on and nothing lights up. car would crank but no start. Key out, back in and only the radio lit up but yet again crank no start.

I disconnected the battery for 20 mins and back up she fired although now with an SRS service required message.

Anyone any idea what this might have been, it's the second time it has happened in the past 6 months and I don't want it to happen somewhere inconvenient? I haven't had any previous electrical problems with the car.

Battery is in good condition, replaced within the last 10 months. I'll plug it into VIDA tomorrow and post the results. Car has started fine multiple times today, hopefully VIDA points me in the right direction
