New 460 picked up last week.

Picked this up last week for an absolute steal. but could anyone tell me why as an L reg 93 car it is the shape and the bonnet of a phase one? i have seen an L reg with the phase two bonnet that curves down the front round the grill and this is confusing me a little. Like the look of the phase one more so don't bother me, just thought someone would know the reason?! the wheels didn't come with it I added them. I believe they are from a phase two SI model from what I can gather.

It was all to do with the model years and factory summer close down. Your 460 is a 92 model year and probably registered in August. The 'new' model year started to filter though in September hence a L reg phase II 93 model year.

The other factor was in the day the 460 series did not sell as well as the 440 hatch so this may of been sold a couple of months before the L reg 1st Aug and the customer waited for the new L reg.

As 140 has said, 1992 was the change over year so you have probably got one of the last Phase 1's.

The wheels are called "cetus" - they are indeed later than 1992 (1995 - for the 480 Celebration and I think the 440 GLT had them...).

What's in inside like? What mileage has it done?
